"Do Not Pass This One Up!"

Kudos to Paul Cross for a wonderfully written tale of deception, trust, truth and action-packed suspense. The truth is, I consider this unbelievable book an incredibly believable story. Reality and fiction are merged into this robust storyline about a Pontifical Conclave, and the politics behind the holy assembly. There is a ring of genuineness among the characters, which left me dumbfounded when I reached the end.

"An Excellent Novel That Has It All!!"

A different perspective of the internal workings of the Vatican and the political process of voting in a new pope mixed with the intrigue of suspense of Henry’s escapades. So well written and executed one has to wonder is this truth or fiction. Cross has an outstanding way with word descriptions that leap off the page and draws the reader into the sights, sounds and even the smells. Add fully developed characters that seem so real, a rich plot full of twists and turns as well as a surprise ending and you have a novel that just can’t miss.

"A really good read, hard to put it down."

A Counterfeit Priest is one of the best books I have had the pleasure of reading in quite sometime. The characters are not only engaging but the storyline captures the reader drawing you in to fold, so to speak, leaving you turning pages right to the very end.

"A brilliant story that kept me on the edge of my seat!"

A Counterfeit Priest is a novel that kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. Cross is indeed one of the best writers in this generation. He deserves my 5-star rating!

"Completely Brilliant! A Marvelous Work of Art."

A Counterfeit Priest is a riveting and compelling story that grapples with the concept of the power of truth.  It is a thought provoking, riveting journey through a maze of personal faith that leaves the reader questioning their beliefs. This book is a must-read for anyone who has ever wondered about their own convictions.
